Had a great cycle ride a couple of weeks ago in brilliant sunshine. Not too hot, as the steady onshore wind moderated the temperature. Our route followed the coast from Beadnell to Seahouses then up to Bamburgh.
What a magnificent castle, jutting out on a rocky promontory, commanding the coastline.
We picnic'd in Bamburgh village, overlooking a beautiful green on which teams were preparing to play a cricket match. How very English.
We returned back to Beadnell on the inland route in rather good time with a following wind. Only 13 miles but a fun day.
